The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Companyon 6th August 1991 as Associated Textile Rubber ProductsPrivate Limited with the object of manufacturing Aprons andCots of Synthetic Rubber.The existing unit was set up with the term loan assistancefrom The Tamilnadu Industrial Investment CorporationLimited (TIIC) in the year 1992. The Company commenced thecommercial production from 1st March 1994. The presentinstalled capacity of the unit is 25 lakh numbers of Apronsand 25.75 lakh numbers of Cots based on three shifts ofworking for 300 days in a year. The Aprons and Cots areused as consumables in textile spinning mills.With the aid of TIIC and working capital facilities fromBank of Baroda the Company successfully set up the existingfacilities. With the technical expertise of Mr. T. K. G. Kurup and Mr. T. Narayan Kutty the company isable to manufacture products of international standard.The Company was subsequently converted into AssociatedTextile Rubber Products Limited (ASTER) on 30th November1994.ASTER Cots and Aprons are well backed by constant researchand development and undergo rigid quality control testsbefore they enter the market. As a result of theirexclusive pre-testing procedures ASTER products havealready bagged huge orders.
