UNION QUALITY PLASTICS PRIVATE LIMITED ("The Company") wasincorporated on 28th July 1984 at Bombay with the mainobject of manufacturing of and dealing in (i) extrudedinjection moulded and blow- moulded articles frompolypropylene polyethelene ( LD and HD) poly vinylchloride polysterene and other thermoplastic and thermosetresins and (ii) woven sacks filaments and fibre fabricsfrom polypropylene thermoplastic rawmaterial.On incorporation the Company took over the business ofUNION QUALITY PLASTICS a partnership firm which had anexisting capacity of 240 M T p. a. for the manufacturing ofHDPE/PP woven sacks. The installed capacity was furtherincreased to 1240 M T IN 1984-85. The expansion wasfinanced through internal accruals promoters'' equity and aterm loan from GSFC.The Company was converted into a public limited company on16th November 1992 and the name changed to UNION QUALITYPLASTICS LIMITED.
