The Company was incorporated on 7th May 1981 as Ecoplast Private Ltd. The name of the Company was changed to Ecoplast Limited on 18th June 1994 for which a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies Gujarat on 11th July 1994.The Company-commenced its commercial operation in Sept. 1982 with a plant of annual capacity of 54OMT. The Company was initially registered as an SSI Unit.The Company expanded its capacity in 1986 to 1400 MT/year and was registered as a DGTD Unit. Subsequently the capacity was increased to 2000 MT/year. The two Co-extrusion lines were supplied by Paul Kiefel GmbH W.Germany a well-known supplier world- wide of film Co-extrusion equipment.Over the decade the Company has been setting standards on quality and innovating on multilayer film structures to provide the required film properties critical to pack preserve and display a wide range of products.Present ActivitiesEcoplast Ltd. is in the business of manufacturing and selling plastic films for flexible packaging and other speciality applications. The films currently manufactured are known as multilayer films produced by the blown film Co-extrusion process. Multilayer films are a combination of two or more thermoplastics co-extruded to form one homogenous film but with distinct individual layers. Multilayer films depending on their structure can provide a range of properties not possible with monolayer films. The selection and composition of the multilayer film is determined by the character of the product to be packed its sensitivity to the environment the optimum shelf life the machinery or method of packaging transportation and channel of merchandising.The Company is a leading supplier of multilayer films to the Indian flexible packaging industry. The Company also provides technical advise and service to make its customers'' products successful in the market place.
