Subsequentlyit became a Deemed Public Company and the share capitalincreased to Rs. 30 lacs. The total holding of thepromoters stands at Rs. 3 crores as on date. The name ofthe Company was changed to ''UPASANA FINANCE LIMITED'' witheffect from 09.01.1995.For nine years Upasana Finance Ltd has been in the businessof money - leasing hire purchase and fixed deposits.Upasana''s results for the year ended March 1994 showedtremendous growth over that of the previous year. ItsGross Income went up by 31% reserves by 42% and depositbase rose by 104%. The total deposits of the company as ondate amounts to Rs.1700 lacs.
