“Our resignation does not result from an inability to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence. There are no other circumstances connected with our resignation which we consider should be brought to the notice of the Board.”
Shashank Traders informed the stock exchange that its statutory auditor, M/s. Nemani Garg Agarwal & Co., has resigned. The auditor was appointed for a five-year term beginning December 30, 2024, and was expected to continue until the company's Annual General Meeting.
The auditor stated that the resignation was due to a change in the company's management and clarified that it was not because of any difficulty in obtaining audit information from the company.
The resignation creates a vacancy in one of the company's key statutory positions, making the appointment of a new auditor a priority.
The company said its Audit Committee and Board of Directors will review the resignation and recommend a new statutory auditor in accordance with the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws, subject to shareholder approval where required.
M/s. Nemani Garg Agarwal & Co. also confirmed that it will file Form ADT-3 with the Registrar of Companies within the prescribed timeline, as required under the Companies Act, 2013.
