Nifty Prediction for Tomorrow

Nifty closed at 22,936.75, up 237.90 points (+1.05%). The index opened nearly flat at 22,690.65 and initially slipped to an intraday low of 22,656.75, but strong buying interest emerged and sustained throughout the session. Nifty climbed to an intraday high of 22,961.95 before closing at 22,936.75, near the day's high. The index also broke above its previous five-session sideways trading range, signalling improving short-term momentum.

Price action formed a strong bullish candle, reflecting broad intraday buying and a decisive recovery from the opening weakness. Nifty closed above its 20-day EMA, strengthening the near-term technical setup, although further follow-through buying will be important to sustain the breakout. RSI stood at 50.85, above its RSI average of 44.75, indicating an improvement in momentum as the index moves back towards the neutral-to-positive zone. Immediate support is placed at 22,600–22,650, while resistance is seen at 23,150–23,200.

Sectorally, Realty, FMCG, Banks, Media and IT led the gains, reflecting broad-based buying across several major segments. Auto was the only major sector among those listed to close in the negative. The recovery also came amid supportive sentiment following the US Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates unchanged, although elevated crude prices and Middle East supply concerns remain important risks.

  • Nifty Resistance: 23100-23200
  • Range: 22600-23200

Bank Nifty Prediction for Tomorrow by an Expert

Bank Nifty closed at 54,909.65, up 642.25 points (+1.18%). The index opened mildly lower at 54,175.60 and initially touched an intraday low of 54,047.90. Strong buying interest emerged thereafter, lifting the index to an intraday high of 54,980.15 before it closed at 54,909.65, near the day's high.

Price action formed a strong bullish candle, reflecting sustained buying interest and a decisive recovery from the opening weakness. The index also moved higher from its recent lows, but it continues to trade below its key moving averages, which may act as overhead resistance. RSI stood at 47.06, above its RSI average of 44.25, indicating improving momentum, though a move above the neutral 50 mark would strengthen the recovery signal. Support is placed at 54,000–54,500, while resistance is seen at 55,200–55,500.

Both banking segments participated in the recovery, with the PSU Bank index gaining more strongly than the Private Bank index. Among Bank Nifty constituents, Kotak Mahindra Bank was a notable gainer, while Yes Bank closed in the negative.

Overall market bias has improved to cautiously positive, supported by the breakout from recent consolidation, stronger momentum and broad-based sectoral buying. Bank Nifty also witnessed a strong recovery, adding to the improvement in sentiment. However, Nifty remains below its key moving averages, while elevated crude prices and geopolitical uncertainty could limit follow-through. Sustained buying participation will be important to confirm a more durable recovery.

  • Bank Nifty Resistance: 55200-55500

  • Sensex Support: 73200-73500
  • Sensex Resistance: 74400-74700
  • Range: 73200-74700
  • Bias: Sideways to Bullish

Sensex Prediction Tomorrow

SENSEX staged a strong recovery, closing at 74,151.04, up 905.01 points (+1.24%). The index opened at 73,268.47, touched an intraday low of 73,181.90, and advanced to a high of 74,166.16, finishing near the day's high. The sharp upward move reflects renewed buying interest and an improvement in overall market sentiment.

From a price action perspective, the 73,200–73,500 zone is the immediate support area, while resistance is placed around 74,400–74,700. The broader trading range stands at 73,200–74,700, with the bias shifting towards sideways to bullish. Sustaining the recovery and moving beyond the resistance zone could open the door for further gains, while holding above the support area will be important to maintain the positive momentum.

Sectoral performance was broadly positive, with BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods, BSE Utilities, BSE Consumer Durables, BSE Realty and BSE PSU Bank emerging among the major gainers. Most key sectors participated in the recovery, including banking, information technology and capital goods. BSE Auto was among the few notable laggards, indicating some stock-specific weakness despite the broader market rally.

The technical setup indicates that the SENSEX opened on a nearly flat note before developing a strong upward trend. On the 5-minute intraday chart, the index took a retracement near key moving averages and subsequently resumed its upward move while trading above the 20 EMA, eventually closing with a strong bullish green candle. The RSI stands at 53.27, while its moving average is at 47.28, indicating improving bullish momentum. A sustained move above the 50 EMA zone near 74,150 in the upcoming sessions could provide further confirmation of the upward trend.

On the expiry day, 74,100 PE recorded the highest put open interest, with an increase of approximately 2.54 lakh contracts, indicating strong support from put writers around this level. On the higher side, 74,200 CE held the highest call open interest, acting as an immediate resistance as the index closed near this strike. The PCR increased to 1.46 from 1.23, reflecting stronger put-side positioning and an improvement in the derivatives outlook. A sustained move above 74,200 will be important to determine whether the index can extend its recovery.

Going forward, the SENSEX outlook has improved to sideways to bullish, supported by strong buying, a bullish daily candle and improving RSI momentum. Holding above 73,200–73,500 will be crucial for sustaining the recovery, while a move beyond 74,400–74,700 could trigger further upside. However, the immediate 74,150–74,200 zone remains important to watch, given the moving-average and options-related resistance. Traders should monitor the index's ability to sustain above these levels before anticipating the next leg of the rally.

Nifty Midcap 50

  • Midcap Nifty Support: 57000-57300
  • Midcap Nifty Resistance: 58000-58300
  • Range: 57000-58300
  • Bias: Sideways to Bullish
