(SSL) was initially incorporated on25th February 1988 under the Companies Act 1956 under thename Suncity Sizing Private Ltd. with its registered officeat 429 Elbee Apartments Ring Road Surat 395002 by ShriSuresh Kawar and his family members.The name of the company was changed to Suncity SyntheticsPrivate Ltd. and fresh certificate of incorporationobtained on 30th March 1988. The company obtained thecertificate of commencement of business on 16th December1989. Pursuant to Board Resolution passed on 8th December1993 the registered office of the company was shifted to102 Trividh Chambers 1st Floor Opp. Fire Brigade RingRoad Surat 395002 w.e.f. 1st January 1994.Pursuant to the Board resolution passed on 26th September1994 the company was converted into a Public Limitedcompany and the name of the company was changed to SuncitySynthetics Ltd. and fresh certificate of incorporationobtained on 17th November 1994. Special Resolution of themembers to this effect was passed in the EGM held on 26thOctober 1994.Pursuant to the Board resolution passed on 26th September1994 the registered office of the company was shifted toBlock No. 209 Plot No. 3-A Village Karanj Taluka MandviDistrict Surat w.e.f. 26th October 1994. SpecialResolution of the members to this effect was passed in theEGM held on 26th October 1994.The company is presently engaged in the manufacturing ofTexturising Yarn at it Existing Factory at Village PipodraSurat with an installed capacity of 180 TPA.The company is now undertaking an ambitious expansion-cum-diversification project at its new site at Village KaranjSurat. The expansion for manufacturing of Texturising Yarnhas been implemented and the new unit has commencedcommercial production with its installed productioncapacity of 850 TPA in January 1995. The company as part ofits diversification plans is also setting up a new projectfor manufacture of Polyester/ Nylon Chips byrecycling/regeneration of polyster/ nylon wastes with aninstalled capacity of 3000 TPA.As the flagship company of this group Suncity SyntheticsLtd. has acquired a good knowledge of domestic markets forsynthetics fibres. The company enjoys a reputable name inthe domestic markets a direct outcome of the commitment ofthe company towards total quality management.
