The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on January 14 1991 and was subsequently converted into Public Ltd. Company by passing a special resolution on 11.03.96 and received the fresh certificate Of Incorporation on March 27 1996. The name of the Company has subsequently been changed to Cat Financial Services Ltd vide a fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated 28th November 1996 as issued by the Registrar of Companies west Bengal. The Company was incorporated with the object of carrying on business of advisers consultants buyers sellers commission agents but since no opportunity came the way of the company it was proposed to carry on the business of finance including capital market operations and since than the company is doing the same.PRESENT BUSINESSThe Company was incorporated in January ''91 with the object of carrying on business of consultants and or render services on matters and problems relating to the industries and also to carry on the business of importer and exporter of various items. But since no opportunity came the way of the company since incorporation the directors decided to take up the business of finance and other allied activities as the main business and to carry out other non fund based services like consultancy and syndication of loans etc.At present the company is primarily engaged in the business of investment in shares & securities and in the short term financing. The company has been providing loan to the corporate and others for meeting their short term as well as medium term needs. The company has earned a total interest income of Rs.7.64 lacs for the period ended 15.03.97. and also the turnover of the company in respect of shares and securities has amounted to Rs. 27.63 lacs for the same period.
