The Company was incorporated on May 12 1987 in the name ofAssociated Grills and Profiles Ltd with the Registrar ofCompanies (R.O.C.) Maharashtra with main object tomanufacture aluminium grills sections railing etc. Thecertificate for commencement of business was obtained onMay 26 1987. Its commercial production was started onSeptember 24 1988. The Company''s main product aluminiumgrills which is jointly promoted with HINDALCO INDUSTRIESLTD is sold under brand name "DECOGRILLE'' is now wellaccepted in the market. In view of the nature of existingbusiness and proposed diversification into Aluminium Rodsthe name of the Company was changed to Associated Profiles& Aluminium Ltd and a fresh certificate of incorporation tothat effect was issued by the Registrar of CompaniesMaharashtra on December 13 1994.The installed capacity of the present plant at Daman is 240M.T. p.a. and the capacity utilisation for the last 5years is as under: % 1990-91 27 1991-92 30 1992-93 35 1993-94 51 1994-95 78
