Gabriel India Ltd. was incorporated as a private company in February 1961. It was subsequently converted into a public limited company in 1964. The Company is promoted by the Anand group in technical and financial collaboration with Gabriel Ride Company Cleveland Ohio USA now owned by Arvin Industries USA.At present Gabriel India is the country''s leadingmanufacturer of Ride Control products with a capacity of 50lac nos per annum spread over five plants located indifferent parts of the country. The Company alsomanufactures Thin Walled Bearings with a capacity of 77.6lac nos per annum and has started manufacture of largeSize/Thick Walled Bearings.Launched in 1961 with the setting of its Shock Absorber plant at Mulund Bombay the Company today has facilities for the manufacture of Shock Absorbers McPherson Struts and Front Forks in the three Indian states of Maharashtra Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. The Company has a number of foreign collaborators for its range of products including Yamaha Motor Co. Japan Federal Mogul Corpn. USA.
