Delhi HC Quashes Tax Reassessment Notice Against Kairosoft AI Solutions

Kairosoft AI Solutions Tax Case
Kairosoft AI Solutions Limited, formerly known as Pankaj Piyush Trade and Investment Limited, had challenged the Income Tax Department's reassessment proceedings for AY 2016-17.
The Delhi High Court, through its order dated September 29, 2026, allowed the company's writ petition.
The court quashed the August 30, 2024 order passed under Section 148A(d) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, as well as the consequential notice issued under Section 148 for AY 2016-17.

The court observed that the reassessment proceedings for the relevant assessment year were barred by limitation.
Accordingly, the impugned order under Section 148A(d) and the consequential notice under Section 148 were quashed.
The writ petition, along with the pending application, was disposed of in favour of the company.
