Jio Platforms Overview and Purpose

The Jio Platforms IPO is offering up to Rs 30,213 crore through a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares, with no Offer for Sale (OFS) component. The issue is priced in the range of Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share, with a minimum lot size of 12 shares, requiring a minimum investment of Rs 13,428 at the upper end of the price band.

As the IPO is entirely a fresh issue, the proceeds will go to Jio Platforms Limited rather than to existing shareholders selling their shares. The proceeds will primarily be used for the repayment or prepayment, in part or in full, of certain outstanding borrowings availed by its material subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), and for general corporate purposes.
