We were originally incorporated as Triveni Electric Company Limited vide certificate of incorporation dated July 11 1994 bearing No. : 04 22460 of 1994-95 and were engaged in the manufactureof upto 220 kV transformers. Our Company is promoted by Mr. JitendraU. Mamtora Mrs Karuna J. Mamtora and Mr. Satyen J. Mamtora.In 1995 our Company?s name was subsequently changed to Transformersand Rectifiers (India) Limited vide a fresh certificate of incorporation datedMarch 29 1995 issued by the Registrar of Companies Gujarat.We currently operate out of our two manufacturing facilities situated atChangodar and Odhav situated in Ahmedabad. We acquired ourOdhav unit in 2006 as part of our expansion plans.Our business mainly comprises of manufacturing and selling ofvarious kinds of transformers such as power and distribution transformersfurnace transformers rectifier transformers and specialised transformers.In 1998 we were certified as an ISO 9001-2000 company by Bureau Veritas in respect of design manufacturing and servicing of distributiontransformers power transformers (up to 200 MVA 220 kVclass) and furnace transformers (up to 63 MVA 33 kV class). Our ISO-9001-2000 certification has expiredon September 16 2007 and is in the process of being renewed.In fiscal 2006 we increased the production capacity of our plant locatedat Changodar from 4000 MVA p.a to its present capacity of 6000 MVA p.a. In order to effectively augment this unit?s production capacitieswe initiated several expansion and debottle necking procedures to facilitate this expansion including installation of new winding machinesseparate oven for coil drying segregation of despatch area alongwith 100 MT capacity EOT crane and employing additional manpowerEffective August 1 2006 our Company acquired the business of M/sTransformers and Rectifiers (India) a proprietary concern of our Promoter Mr. Jitendra U. Mamtora situated at Plot No 233 GVMSA IndustrialEstate Odhav Ahmedabad. The business was acquired under an agreementdated July 10 2006 on a going concern basis with all the assets and liabilities effective from August 1 2006 for a consideration of Rs.15221050/- (being the difference between the assets and liabilities of the proprietary concern appearing in the audited balance sheet of the firm as on March 31 2006). The aforesaid consideration was paid by us byissue of 117085 fully paid up equity shares at a price of Rs. 130 per sharecomprising of nominal share capital at the rate of Rs. 10 per share andpremium at the rate of Rs. 120 per share to Mr. Jitendra U.Mamtora.1994 Incorporation of Triveni Electric Company Limited.1995 Change of name of the Company to Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited.1996 Expanded upto 245 kV Class transformers at the newplant at Changodar Ahmedabad set up under TRIL.1996-99 Manufactured transformers from 30 MVA upto 132 kV class and received orders upto 50 MVA 132 kV class.Received ISO 9001:2000 Certification (1998)2000-02 Manufactured transformers upto 100 MVA 245 kV class.2002-03 Re - Certified for ISO 9001:20002003-04 Received Single Order of 36 Transformers of 110kV Class Delta Connected for TNEB.
