Solid Granites Limited was originally incorporated on 8thMay 1990 in the name and style of Solid Granites PrivateLimited with Registrar of Companies Maharashtra. TheCompany has started its commercial operations in January1992. It was subsequently changed to a Public LimitedCompany vide Special Resolution passed on 30th July 1994and the Company has obtained Fresh Certificate ofIncorporation dated 5th September 1994 confirming theconversion of Company from Private Limited to PublicLimited Company.PRESENT BUSINESSThe Company presently running a SSI unit for manufacturingGranite Slabs with an installed capacity of Rs.180000 Sq.Ft. p.a. However due to shortage of working capital theunit is running at 40% to 45% capacity only. For thepurpose of availing working capital the Company isenhancing its capital base. However though these isenhancement in capital base of the Company it will notloose its SSI status.MAIN OBJECTS OF THE COMPANYThe main objects of the company as set out in theMemorandum of Association of the Company are as under:To carry on the business of manufacturing treatingcutting re-cutting polishing converting and in any othermanner processing trading buying selling importingdistributing and dealing in any manner in Granite MarbleOnyx Cuddapah Kotah Tandur Sahabad and other naturalstones and slates sanitary wares ceramics tiles (such asmosaic glazed matt pre-cast) cement bricks sand metaland all other kinds of building materials.
