Katwa Udyog Limited (KUL) was incorporated on 17th March 1993 asa Public Limited Company and obtained certificate ofcommencement on 19/7/93. KUL is promoted by Shri H.D. KatwaSmt. N.H. Katwa and Shri M.L. Bevinketti to take up the businessof manufacture and sale of cement.In April 1993 KUL purchased a 20 TPD plant for Rs.25 lakhs in apublic auction from KSFC. KSFC had taken over under section 29of SFC Act assets comprising of land building and machinery ofa sick unit by name Sangam Cement (P) Limited. This plant islocated at Survey No. 346 Kaladgi Village Bagalkot TalukBijapur District Karnataka. KUL successfully restartedproduction at this unit in July 1993 itself.KUL has since added a further capacity of 100 TPD at the samesite at a cost of Rs.476 lakhs and the same has gone intocommercial production in August 1994.
