The Company was incorporated on 23.12.1982 as Private Limited Company in the name of Malav Metals Pvt. Ltd. with the Registrar of Companies Madhya Pradesh at Gwalior. Subsequently the company was converted into a Public Limited Company and the name of the Company also changed toAvanti LPG (India) Ltd. by a special resolution passed at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the Company held on 17.11.1994. A certificate to that effect has been obtained on 16.12.1994.The Company has been promoted by Avanti Group which has also promoted Avanti Finance Ltd a listed company. The main object of the company is to manufacture LPG Cylinders Industrial Gases Cylinders and installation of LPG Bottling Plant. The company acquired land at Plot No. 226 and commenced commercial production in Jan. 1984 with thefinancial assistance of Rs.54 lacs from M.P. Audhyogik Vikas Nigam Ltd.. After over-coming the initial teething problems the company within a short span stood on its feet and became a profitable dividend paying unit.
