Raghunath Tobacco Company Limited was incorporated as alimited company under the Companies Act 1956 videcertificate of incorporation number 16225 dated March 181994. The company obtained certificate to commence businesswith effect from April 4 1994. The main object ofconstituting this company was to set up a unit tomanufacture cigarettes. The company has been promoted byMr. Om Prakash Agrawal Mr. Jal Prakash Agrawal and Mr. SriPrakash Agrawal. Raghunath International Limited has joinedthe company as promoter later on.The company has obtained an Industrial Licence from theMinistry of Industry Government of India vide its letterno. Ll:288(1994) dated May 27 1994 to set up a unit tomanufacture cigarettes at Village Chaudharipur BillhoreDistrict Kanpur Dehat U.P. the licenced capacity being1100 million cigarettes per annum. As the unit is permittedto go up to 25% additional capacity over the licencedcapacity RTC can manufacture 1375 million cigarettes perannum.
