Regency Investments Limited was incorporated on 29th March 1993 as a Private Limited Company under the name & style of Regency Investments Private Limited with the Registrar of Companies Punjab H.P & Chandigarh at Jalandhar vide Regd. No.16-13169 dated 29.3.93. The Company was subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company on 26.12.1994 vide order dated : 27.1.95. The Company started its activities with effect from April 1993 and earned commission income of Rs. 0.89 Lacs in the year 1993-94. The promoters could not devote much attention to the operations of the company and company could not expand its activities. With the boom in financial services sector the promoters decided to seize the opportunities available in a burgeoning market and started diversifying the business of the company which has resulted in profit before tax of Rs 0.38 Lacs in the period ended 31.07.1995. The company has been engaged in trading of shares which has resulted in an income of Rs. 25811 for the period ended 31.07.95.The Company is a non banking Financial Company and it has applied to Reserve Bank of India for its registration as NBFC which is still awaited.
