PPL was incorporated on 24th June 1992 as PankajIndustries Ltd. and received the Certificate ofCommencement of business on 7th June 1992. It is promotedby the Goel family of Hyderabad. The Company''s name hasbeen subsequently changed to Pankaj Polymers Ltd. on 3rd July 1995.The Plastic Industry has grown at a rapid pace and morethan half of the growth has come in the last 25 years. Itis today a 100 Million Tonne Industry. The Indian PlasticIndustry is 40 year old but started playing a major role inthe economy only from the 1980s.
