The Company was originally incorporated as a PrivateLimited Company on 13th day of July 1992 as Octal EconomicConsultants Private Limited in the State of West Bengal.The Company was incorporated mainly with the object ofproviding advisory services and to conduct the merchantBanking activities. Application for obtaining registrationas category I merchant Banker to the concerned authoritywas filed on 9th day of February 1994 after developingrequisite network and infrastructure. Taking in to accountthe healthy condition of security market the company hasstarted full fledged operation in the capital market. Thename of the company was changed to Octal Credit CapitalPvt. Ltd. by passing a special resolution in terms ofsection 21 of the companies Act 1956 on 6th day ofSept 1994 and fresh Certificate of Incorporation wasobtained on 14th day of Sept. 1994. For increasing itsresources and expanding its activities the company wasconverted into Public Limited Company in terms of Section44 of the Companies Act 1956 by passing special resolutionon 15th day of Sept 1994 and fresh Certificate ofIncorporation was received on 27th day ofSeptember 1994. The company had formed a subsidiarycompany namely Trans Scan Securities (P) Ltd. for obtainingmembership of the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. &OTCEI. However due to objections mixed NSEIL Trans ScanSecurities (P) Ltd. ceased to be a subsidiary company of theCompany w.e.f. 31.5.95
