The Company was incorporated on August 03 1993 as AvonOrganics Limited. It obtained certificate of commencementof business on July 5 1994 promoted by Mr. P.R. AgarwalMr. Rajesh Agarwal and Dr. G.S. Sidhu.The company proposes to manufacture Diketene andderivatives - Mono Methyl Acetoacetamide (MMA) and MethylAceto Acetate (MAA). Diketene is the mother chemical and isin itself not sold. The Company has entered into a Tripartite Agreement dated12th October 1994 for which the Department of IndustrialDevelopment Secretariat of Industrial Approvals Ministryof Industry has given permission vide their letter FC.IINo:90(93)/4/ILF/93 dated April 2nd 1993 with ShanghaiMachinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation (SMEC)on behalf of Shanghai Peng Pu Chemical Works (SPCW) fortechnology transfer and with Xytel TechnologiesPartnership U S A for the co-ordination and transfer oftechnology (between the Company and SMEC).The entire production of Diketene will be converted toDerivatives. Diketene is reactive in nature and a largenumber of derivatives can be produced from it. Also theinfrastructure required for the conversion of Diketene to aderivative is a very minimal as every derivative is asingle step reaction from Diketene. Hence the companyalways has the option of changing the derivatives that areproposed to be manufactured as and when the market sodemands.
