Jai Corp Ltd. is a public limited company which wasincorporated in the name of Jai Fibres Ltd. on June 6 1985with the Registrar of Companies Maharashtra at Bombay.The Certificate of Commencement of Business was obtained onJune 12 1985. The company entered the capital market witha public issue of Rs.30 lakhs in July 1985 towards meetingits working capital requirements required for its businessof trading in yarn. The company set up its ownmanufacturing facility with an installed capacity of 800t.p.a at Murbad in Maharashtra to manufacture HDPE/PPWoven Sacks and commenced commercial production in January1987. In February 1987 the company made a rights issue ofequity shares at par aggregating to Rs.30 lakhs to meetthe long term working capital requirements.Another unit with an installed capacity ot 1200 t.p.a wasset up at Murbad for manufacturing FIBC fabrics and HDPE/PPWoven sacks. This second unit went on stream in January1990. The company then set up its third unit at Silvassafor manufacturing FIBC popularly known as Jumbo Bagswhere the commercial production commenced in February 1992.The name of the company was changed to Jai Fibre IndustriesLtd. by passing a Special Resolution. A fresh certificateconsequent to this change was obtained on 6th December1993. The name of the Company was again charged to JaiCorp Limited by passing a Special Resolution in the 9thAnnual General Meeting held on 13th August 1994.Consequently a fresh certificate tor change of name to JaiCorp Limited was obtained on 30th August 1994.The Company is now setting up a new Unit at Silvassa forcreation of manufacturing facilities for FIBC Tarpaulinsand Multilayer Bags. The Company''s shares are currentlylisted on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
