Hisar Metal Industries Ltd. (HMIL) was incorporated on 14-05-1990 as a private ltd. company in the Union Territory of Delhi with the objective of setting up project for manufacturing of Cold rolled stainless steel strips. Subsequently the company was converted into Public limited company w.e.f 24th June 1992 and obtained fresh certificate of incorporation on 6th August 1992. The company commenced commercial operations on 1-03-91 at an installed capacity of 1800 MT on single shift basis which was raised to 3600 MT p.a. on double shift basis in 1993-94. At present the company is manufacturing Cold rolled stainless steel strips with an installed capacity of 3600 MT p.a. and it is mainly catering to various engineering industries. There have been no time/cost overruns in setting up the earlier projects. Also there have been no major problems like Labour disputes closure etc. in the past in the company.
