HB Portfolio Leasing Limited ("the Company" or "HBPL") waspromoted in 1985 by Shri Harish Chander Bhasin a leadingfigure in financial services sector. HBPL commencedoperation in August 1985 and undertook activities ofleasing and investments in securities. At present theoperations of HBPL are largely confined to InvestmentsShare Shoppe Merchant Banking and Leasing. HBPL presentlyoperates from two offices located at New Delhi and Bombay.HBPL has three subsidiaries namely Mount Finance Limited(MFL) HB Secunties Limited (HBSL) and HB Prima CapitalLimited (HBPCL).MFL does not have any major activities. HBSL has also notyet commenced any major activity except that the membershipof National Stock Exchange has been transferred by HBPL toHBSL. HBPCL has also not started any activity except thatthe membership of OTCEI has been transferred from HBPL toHBPCL.
