The Company was incorporated under the Companies Act 1956as a Public Limited Company on May 12 1976 and it obtainedthe Certificate of Commencement of Business on July 161976 from the Registrar of Companies Gujarat at Ahmedabad.The Company is presently engaged in the business ofmanufacturing products which are collectively known asEthyleneamines. The Company started commercial productionin 1982 with an initial capacity of 1200 tonnes per annum(TPA). The capacity was increased from 1200 TPA to 1500 TPAafter the first debottlenecking-cum-expansion in 1985. Withsecond debottlenecking-cum-modernisation the installedcapacity stands increased to 2000 TPA. Also a separateunit for the production of 150 TPA of Piperazine has beeninstalled simultaneously. Now with thirddebottlenecking-cum-modernisation completed recently theinstalled capacity of Ethyleneamines stands at 2600 TPA.The Company''s plant for the manufacture of Ethyleneaminesis the first and the only one in the country. This planthaving been set-up with totally indigenous efforts isplaced among the select band of 6 to 8 Companies in theworld who have proprietary technology for the manufactureof Ethyleneamines. The products of the Company have beenwell accepted in the domestic market and also in theinternational markets.The Company is the recepient of major Awards like NationalEnergy Conservation Award for 1991 Energy ConservationAward by GEB for 1991 P.C.Ray Award for the BestIndigenous Technology Development Award for 1984 1stEuropa Award for the year 1987 by Trade Leaders ClubSpain Jamnalal Bajaj Award for Fair Business Practices forthe year 1993 etc.MAIN OBJECTS OF THE COMPANYThe main objects of the Company as set out in itsMemorandum of Association are as under1. Itsauthorised capital is Rs. 5.00 crores and total susbscribedcapital is Rs. 22500000. 564930 Equity Shares of Rs. 10 each are with diaminas andChemicals limited which constitutes roughly 25% of totalsubscribed capital. The company proposes to manufactureMebendazole Atenolol and Nifedipine. Mebendazole is ananti-helmetic drug used in the treatment of stomachinfections. Atenolol and Nifedipine are cardiovascularderugs used as anti-hypertensive agents.The plant and all the ancilliary works like installationand erection of machinery etc. have already been completedin all respects at Plot No.15 UPSIDC Industrial AreaSikandarabad Dist. Bulandshahr Uttar pradesh andfurthermore the plant together with necessary utilities isready for commercial production. The plant trials are overand all the equipments have shown satisfactory performance.
