Creative Eye Limited ("CEL") was incorporated on 28 July 1986as a private limited company in the name and style of CreativeEye Private Limited. The Company was converted into a publiclimited company under the Companies Act 1956 and consequentlythe name was changed to Creative Eye Limited on 18 March 1996.The company was promoted by Mr. Dheeraj Kumar Kochhar apromoter with substantial expertise in the field of film andtelevision production. In 1985 when Doordarshan was lookingfor private sector participation in the business of softwareproduction it called for tenders from interested parties.Producers were given as payment free commercial airtime to sellto advertisers and ad agencies. Creative Eye was one of thefirst entitled to realize the potential of this opportunity.The first serial to be telecast on DD was a 26 episode serialKahan Gaye Woh Log. The serial a depiction of some of India'slesser known freedom fighters won the Punjabi Kala Sangam bestserial award in 1986-1987. This was followed by a 19 episodedetective serial Adalat which despite its non prime time slotnotched up Total Rating Points as high a 55 per cent. By publicdemand the serial went through a further telecast of 13episodes.Other serials followed. Prominent among them was Sansar a 113episode family oriented soap opera. The serial establishedCEL's reputation as a producer of a wide range of good qualityprogrammes ranging from historical drama to suspense to familyoriented entertainment.More recently Creative Eye has made a successful foray into anew genre of programming - mythology. In 1997 it beganproducing On Namah Shivay a serial based on a popular deity inthe Indian pantheon - Lord Shiva. Om Namah Shivay has beenconsistently rated among the top five programs on Doordarshan.Other diversifications include sports programming in which CELis a part of a consortium that markets and sells commercial timefor sports events and programmes.Creative Eye has expanded its product offerings across genresfor major satellite channels in addition to production forDoordarshan.Capacity creation has proceeded steadily from the time thecompany first commenced making serials in 1986. Thereafter on aregular basis the Company has been adding to its productionequipment post production equipment vehicles and premises byploughing back retained earnings and has thus over inceptionreached its current capacity.Creative Eye shifted its Registered Office from New Delhi toMumbai as per the order of the Company Law Board on 29 February2000.The Company has not changed its activities over the last fiveyears.SUBSIDIARIES OF THE COMPANYCreative Eye Limited has no subsidiaries.
