The company was incorporated on September 20 1984 under the Companies Act 1956 as a public limited company under the name of BDT business Ltd. and obtained the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 22nd September 1984. Consequent upon the change of name to Kanoi Paper and Industries Ltd. a fresh certificate of incorporation dated 7th August 1989 was obtained.The Group acquired a running integrated pulp and paper mill at Bilaspur (M.P.) from Brooke Bond India Ltd in 1990 which was incurring heavy losses to the tune of Rs.300 lacs approximately. with units production at 5845 MT. The present Management has achieved a turnaround and production has gone up to 9548 MT during 1993-94 Profitability was achieved from the very first year of operations under the current management.
