Shantanu Sheorey Aquakult Ltd. was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 18th June 1993 and subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company on 25th November 1994 in terms of the Special Resolution passed in their Extra Ordinary General Meeting on 19th October 1994 under Sec.31/44 of the Companies Act 1956.PRESENT BUSINESSThe Company has already set up a shrimp hatchery with an annual production capacity of 80 million P.Mondon Shrimp seeds. The hatchery has commenced commercial production since December 1995. Hatchery project has been set up at village Nandgaon District Raigad in Maharashtra which is approx. 140 km from Mumbai by road. The land acquired for hatchery has already been registered in the Company''s name. The construction activities has been completed and areoperational. These include larva tanks generator house pump house and filter house. The company has already procured all plant and machinery required for hatchery. The filtration system and the pumps have been designed to suit the specific project requirements at the site. Adequate supply of sea water from any bacterial contamination is a critical requirement for the quality production and the plant and machinery will fulfil this requirement and ensure production will be of the desired quality. The hatchery is based on galvestonian technology. Shrimps captured in the wild are allowed to mature and spawn producing the eggs hatch into the naupli stage (three days). Then they pass through the stages of zoea (six days) and mysis (three days) and finally into the postlarva or PL stage. The hatchery will be supplying PL-20 seeds which means the seeds will be sold 20 days after reaching the post larva stage. The present customers for hatchery''s produce are Safana Aqua Pvt. Ltd. Triton Marinex (P) Ltd. M/s Aqua Inc. M/s. Sagar Prawn Farms and M/s Choice Aquaculture Pvt. Ltd. SUBSIDIARIESThe Company at present does not have any subsidiary.
