Zepto Plans IPO in Next 2–3 Quarters As Profitability Improves

Zepto is now aiming to go public between February and May 2027, postponing its earlier target of August 2026. Speaking during a company-wide town hall on July 31, CEO Aadit Palicha said the company remains on track for its IPO and has until November 2027 to complete the listing. Instead of filing a fresh DRHP, Zepto will submit updated financial statements as an addendum to its existing filing with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Zepto Pushes IPO Timeline While Staying on Track for Listing
The revised timeline comes as the company focuses on strengthening its financial performance and achieving a better valuation before entering the public markets. Palicha noted that improving profitability remains a key priority ahead of the proposed listing.
Fundraising and Lower Cash Burn Support IPO Plans
- IPO Timeline: Zepto plans to launch its IPO within the next two to three quarters.
- No Fresh DRHP: The company will update its existing SEBI filing instead of submitting a new DRHP.
- Pre-IPO Funding: Zepto is raising over rupee 1,000 crore (more than $100 million) from existing investors, with around $100 million already secured.
- Improving Financials: Quarterly cash burn has reportedly reduced to around rupee 700 crore, down from more than rupee 900 crore earlier.
- Valuation Strategy: The company is working towards stronger profitability before seeking its targeted valuation in the public markets.
What to Watch Next
Investors will closely monitor Zepto's progress toward profitability, the completion of its ongoing fundraising, and the timeline for its IPO filing updates. Market conditions and the company's financial performance are expected to play a key role in determining the final listing schedule.
