About National Stock Exchange Of India Ltd IPO
Incorporated in November 1992, National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) is India’s largest stock exchange and a major multi-asset market platform. It provides a wide range of services covering trading, clearing, settlement, listing, market data and index services across equities, derivatives, currency derivatives, commodities, debt securities and mutual funds.
NSE has maintained a strong position in India’s capital markets, particularly in cash market turnover, equity derivatives and currency derivatives. Its platform brings together investors, listed companies, brokers and other market participants, creating a large and interconnected market ecosystem.
As of March 31, 2026, NSE had more than 253 million registered investor accounts and 129 million unique investors. The exchange had 1,325 trading members and 2,978 listed companies, with total listed market capitalisation of around ?411 trillion. During Fiscal 2026, more than ?20.3 trillion was mobilised through its platform.
The exchange is supported by a technology-driven infrastructure designed to handle large trading volumes, real-time market data, risk management, surveillance and regulatory requirements. Its reach spans more than 99% of Indian postal codes, helping to broaden access to the capital markets.
As of March 31, 2026, NSE had 1,974 full-time employees, while its subsidiaries employed another 907 people across technology, operations, risk management, compliance and other functions.
