About Asset Reconstruction Ltd IPO
Incorporated in February 2002, Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited is an asset reconstruction company (ARC) engaged in acquiring stressed assets from banks and financial institutions and implementing resolution strategies, including restructuring, settlements and enforcement of security interests, to maximise recoveries and optimise the value of such assets.
The Company was the first ARC to be incorporated in India and received its Certificate of Registration from the Reserve Bank of India in August 2003. It has over two decades of experience in the asset reconstruction industry.
According to the CRISIL Report, the Company was the second-largest private ARC in India by assets under management (AUM), with an AUM of ?168,525.70 million as of March 31, 2025, and was the second most profitable private ARC in India during Fiscal 2025, with a standalone profit of ?3,553.19 million. It also had the second-largest net worth among private ARCs in India, at ?27,677.98 million as of March 31, 2025.
The company acquires both single-credit and portfolio-based stressed secured and unsecured assets and employs multiple resolution and collection strategies, including proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, settlements with borrowers, restructuring or rescheduling of debt, and enforcement and sale of underlying assets.
The Company operates across Corporate Loans, SME and Other Loans and Retail Loans and has established relationships with banks and financial institutions across India. As of March 31, 2026, it operated through 13 offices across 12 states and had 988 lawyers, 206 collection agents and 218 registered valuers empanelled with it.
The Company is promoted by Avenue India Resurgence Pte. Ltd., an affiliate of Avenue Capital Group, and State Bank of India.
