India’s Fighter Engine Bet
Reliance and Rolls-Royce are exploring something much bigger than just an AMCA engine.
The plan could include a dedicated Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex in India covering engine development, manufacturing, testing and long-term support.
And the opportunity may not stop at defence. The partnership could eventually expand into civil aerospace, power and propulsion systems too.
But important: this is still a strategic intent not a final government contract or confirmed programme award.
The real question is whether India can use partnerships like this to build its own high-performance aero-engine ecosystem.
