Mahindra reported a 26% year-on-year increase in total vehicle sales in July 2026, driven by strong SUV demand, higher tractor sales, and continued growth in its commercial vehicle business.

Mahindra Reports Strong July Sales Across Auto, Farm & CV Businesses

Mahindra & Mahindra reported total vehicle sales of 1,03,860 units (including exports) in July 2026, up 26% from the same month last year. The company's automotive business continued to witness healthy demand, while its farm equipment division benefited from favourable monsoon conditions and improved rural sentiment.

In the commercial vehicle segment, Mahindra posted solid growth across cargo and passenger vehicles. Exports also recorded a strong increase, reflecting steady demand in international markets.

Mahindra Records Broad-Based July Sales Growth Across Key Business Segments

Automotive Business

  • Total vehicle sales (including exports): 1,03,860 units, up 26% YoY.
  • Domestic SUV sales: 60,048 units, up 20% YoY.
  • Domestic commercial vehicle sales: 25,204 units, up 23% YoY.
  • Exports: 4,070 units, registering 47% YoY growth.

Farm Equipment Business

  • Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports): 34,420 units, up 20% YoY.
  • Domestic tractor sales: 32,643 units, up 21% YoY.

The company attributed the strong performance to good rainfall, improved reservoir levels, faster kharif sowing, supportive government measures, and healthy farm cash flows, which boosted rural demand.

Trucks & Buses Business

  • The Trucks and Buses (CV > 3.5T) segment sold 3,009 vehicles, up 19% YoY.
  • Cargo vehicle sales increased 15% to 1,474 units.
  • Passenger vehicle sales rose 23% to 1,535 units, reflecting healthy demand across the segment.
