
Mumbai, July 28, 2026 – Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced the successful conclusion of a Framework Cooperation Agreement (FCA) with TenneT under its 2 GW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) offshore wind programme.
L&T, together with Hitachi Energy, has signed the Framework Cooperation Agreement (FCA) with TenneT to support its 2 GW HVDC offshore wind programme. The agreement covers six offshore transmission projects, including future opportunities, and is aimed at accelerating the integration of offshore renewable energy into Europe's power grid.
Under the programme, the consortium will continue work on the IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Nederwiek 1 projects in the Netherlands while also executing two new projects: Nederwiek 3 in the Netherlands and LanWin 5 in Germany.
Together, these projects will provide a total transmission capacity of 8 GW at 525 kV. L&T will be responsible for the offshore converter platforms and associated construction, while Hitachi Energy will provide its HVDC Light power transmission technology.
Investors will monitor the execution of the newly awarded offshore wind projects, progress on existing contracts, and additional opportunities under the framework agreement. The pace of offshore renewable energy investments across Europe could also influence future order inflows.
