TheCompany was converted into a Public Limited Company on 20thSeptember 1985 and the name of the Company was changed toKalyani Sharp India Limited w.e.f 2nd May 1986. TheCompany''s first Public Issue was made in the year 1991.At present the Company is engaged in the manufacturingand marketing of CTVs VCRs/VCPs B&W TVs and Audios.PRESENT BUSINESS OF THE COMPANYThe Company currently manufactures and markets electronicsproducts like CTV B&W TVs VCRs/VCPs and Audios underthe brand name "OPTONICA" "OPTONICA-SHARP" and"SHARP".The sales of the Company have increased from a level ofRs.703.81 lakhs in 1986-87 (first full year of production andsales) to Rs. 16875.78 lakhs in 1994-95 (year concluded on31st March 1995).
