ZF Steering Gear (India) Limited announced its Q1 FY27 financial results and approved an increase in the estimated cost of the aluminium project being developed by its wholly owned subsidiary, DriveSys Systems Private Limited.

What Happened and Why It Matters

The company reported consolidated total income of Rs 157.85 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 138.33 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders increased to Rs 12.37 crore from Rs 7.97 crore, while basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs 13.63 from Rs 8.78.

On a standalone basis, total income rose to Rs 156.62 crore from Rs 138.47 crore, while net profit increased to Rs 18.52 crore from Rs 11.95 crore in Q1 FY26.

Alongside the quarterly results, the Board approved an increase in the aluminium project cost to Rs 150 crore, up from the earlier estimate of Rs 100 crore. The additional investment will support downstream processing facilities, capacity expansion, and the acquisition of adjacent land. The company stated that approximately Rs 118 crore has already been invested in the project.
