Vasanthi Marine Foods Limited a Company with its RegisteredOffice at Hyderabad was incorporated on 31st December 1993 asa Public Limited Company and certificate of commencement ofbusiness was obtained on 1.6.94. The Aqua farm of the Company issituated at Adavigramam Bapatla Mandal Guntur dt AndhraPradesh. The Company is proposing to undertake shrimp culture.The Company aims to produce export quality shrimps throughsemi-intensive culture in an area of 50 hectares of water spreadarea. The pilot project of 9 hectares of water spread area wasstarted in Feb. 1994 and the commercial production hascommenced from August 1994.The Company has taken all necessary steps to ensure that thereis no ecological imbalance which are as follows:01. The Company has planned proper waste management systems byinstalling an effluent treatment plant for treating used waterfrom tanks before releasing into the sea.02.
