OUR HISTORY & BACKGROUND:Talbros Automotive Components Limited was incorporated under theCompanies Act 1956 on 8th September 1956 in the NCT of Delhi inthe name and style of Payen Talbros Private Limited by Talwar Brothersin technical collaboration with Coopers Payen Limited UK and infinancial collaboration with Engineering Components Limited UK. OurCompany was promoted in 1957 by Talwar Brothers under the Chairmanshipof late Mr. B.N. Talwar and late Mr. W.N. Talwar the then ManagingDirector of our Company.We became a deemed public company under section 43A of the CompaniesAct 1956 on 30th November 1975. We became a public limited company on4th December 1975. The name of our Company was changed to 'TalbrosAutomotive Components Limited" on 7th April 1979. We made our maidenpublic issue in the year 1980. The registered office of our Company wasshifted from NCT of Delhi to the state of Haryana w.e.f. May 16 1996.Presently we are managed by Mr. Naresh Talwar who joined our Companyin 1976; Mr. Umesh Talwar who joined our Company in 1977; and Mr.Nikhil Talwar who joined our Company in 1996.We started manufacturing of automotive and industrial gaskets in theyear 1957. During our 48 years of existence we emerged as the leaderin the manufacturing of automotive gaskets. The manufacturingactivities started during 1957 at the plant located in Delhi which wasshifted to Faridabad during 1967 to extend the manufacturingfacilities. During 1977 we acquired under a Scheme of AmalgamationAEW Jansons Limited which was engaged in the manufacturing of HydraulicJacks. Later on the manufacturing of axle shafts was added andmanufacturing of hydraulic jacks was discontinued. In the year 1979second manufacturing facility for gaskets was established in Chennai inorder to cater to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) requirementin southern India. A backward integration plan was implemented during1989 by setting up a plant at Sohna near Gurgaon Haryana tomanufacture `beater' (a raw material used in manufacturing process) forcaptive consumption.During 1995 we further expanded our manufacturing base by setting upthe third gaskets manufacturing plant at Pune in Maharashtra primarilyto cater to the needs of Tata Motors and other OEMs based in and aroundPune. In the same year the axle manufacturing plant was separatedunder the scheme approved by the Honorable High Court of Delhi as wedecided to concentrate on manufacturing of gaskets only.We have technical tie-ups with reputed global players viz. FederalMogul Sealing Group one of the world's largest group supplying hightechnology automotive components and other engineered products; NipponLeakless Corporation of Japan the manufacturer of high technologygaskets used by new generation vehicles; Ishikawa Gaskets CompanyLimited of Japan the manufacturer of specialized gaskets to be used indiesel engines. Association with these global leaders ensures accessto the latest global technology on a continuous basis.We are into manufacturing of gaskets for heavy and light commercialvehicles passenger cars two wheelers and tractors through our 4manufacturing facilities.
