The Company was incorporated as Satyam Constructions PrivateLimited on May 6 1988 under the Companies Act. It became a deemed public company with effect from July 1 1993 under Section 43A(1A) of the Companies Act and the word private was deleted from its name. The name of theCompany was changed to Maytas Infra Limited pursuant to a special resolution of the shareholders of the Company at an EGM held on May 6 1998. The fresh certificate of incorporation consequent upon the change of name was granted on June 1 1998 by the RoC. The Company became a private limited companyon May 7 2002 pursuant to Section 43A(2A) of the Companies Act and theword private was added to its name. Subsequently pursuant to a special resolutionof the shareholders of the Company at an extraordinary general meeting held onDecember 30 2006 the Company has become a public limited company and theword private has been deleted from its name. The Company incorporated a special purpose vehicle Brindavan Infrastructure Company Limited along with NCC and KMC Constructions Limited.2006 The Company received an award the Fastest Growing Construction Company 3rd Rank for the year2006 from Construction World magazine.2007 The Company entered into a memorandum of understanding with Dhabi Contracting Est. and established a joint venture company Dhabi Maytas Contracting LLC in United Arab Emirates.
