The Company was incorporated as “SBI Cards and Payment Services Private Limited” on May 15 1998 as a private limited company under the Companies Act 1956 at New Delhi with a certificate of incorporation granted by the RoC. On the conversion of the Company to a public limited company pursuant to a special resolution passed by the shareholders on August 2 2019 the name was changed to “SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited” and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated August 20 2019 was issued by the RoC. The Company was registered as a non-public deposit taking NBFC pursuant to a certificate of registration (bearing number No. 14.01328) dated October 6 1998 issued by the RBI.
